The master class

Anna Aurigi’s master class aims to explore Italian music (baroque and romantic) through the lens of diction and declamation by examining the idiosyncrasies of the language, with particular attention given to the rhythm of poetic texts, the colour of vowels and the specific work done by the tongue, which organises consonants and vowels in the mouth.

About Anna Aurigi

Originally from Tuscany, Anna Aurigi completed her studies in literature. She is a singer, a coach for professional singers, and a professor at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory music in Milan, often working with texts by Dante, Petrarch and Boccaccio, the founding poets of Italian literature and language.
