- ‘Les ruines circulaires’, directed by Hélène Clech...
Saturday 31 August at 7:30 p.m. In a distant past or future, a stranger stumbles into the ruins of an abandoned temple in the middle of the night. With a sole idea in mind: they want to ‘dream a person’, create a being by the power of their imagination and bring them to life.
With the help of rituals and magical spells, they fall asleep and drift off into lucid dreams. But their project appears to be more difficult than expected...
Les ruines circulaires, an enigmatic tale by Jorge-Luis Borges, tells us about creation, filiation and identity, in a wonderfully rich and poetic language. It is presented it here as a tale, told by two narrators and a musician. A simple form that leaves plenty of room for imagination. An invitation to meditation. For the duration of the play, this unique place, the jardin Shakespeare, becomes a circular temple lost in the middle of the forest.
Come and discover the first creation by the troupe Les Entrevoûtes, which aims to take stories out of books and turn them into living, shared experiences. The troupe was formed by Niels Herzhaft and Hélène Clech after they graduated from the École Supérieure d’Art Dramatique de Paris.
