Access Conditions
Candidates wishing to request an adjustment to the conditions of the competition tests must send their request at least one month before the competition to the disability advisor: Carine Bonnefoy handicap@pspbb.fr.
To take the entrance exams, candidates must:
- 1. be aged 18 to 27 on October 1 of the date of entry to the first year of the course
- 2. attest to training and/or previous theatrical practices (8 hours minimum per week over at least 1 year)
- 3. be in possession of the Baccalaureate or a French or foreign diploma admitted with exemption or equivalence.
The school's departmental council examines the admissibility of certificates of previous theater training or practice. It may, upon reasoned request from a candidate, grant an exemption from the baccalaureate.
Candidates must pay the registration fee.
All entrance exam’s steps
Round 1: File-based assessment
Applications start on Monday 7 October 2024
Applications end on Friday 6 December 2024
The file will consist of 2 x 3-minute videos and a personal questionnaire:
- One of the two videos will be a monologue in front of the camera from the list of compulsory texts. This list will be announced when you register online at Oasis.
- The other video will be a free-form video based on textual material of your choice, which may be non-theatrical and reflect your personal world. It's a space given over to your creativity.
2e tour : 4-hour work session per group of 12 candidates on a set scene.
No preparation other than learning the text
Tests between Monday 3 March and Thursday 13 March 2025
3e tour : Final training
Workshops led by performing arts professionals.
Monday 14 April to Thursday 17 April 2025
The PSPBB/ESAD entrance exam is held two years out of three: two classes are trained at the same time for three years.
