Social aids

Bursaries based on social criteria

Bursaries based on social criteria are available to students under 28 years of age on 1 October for a first application, based on resources and family responsibilities. Allocation is annual and must be renewed each year.

Recommendations: apply as soon as possible to optimise your chances of a rapid response.
Go ahead and enter your data, even if you’re not yet sure of your orientation for the coming year (even if it means making a choice that doesn’t correspond to the reality of your future studies). This will ensure that your application has already been processed, and all you need to do is update your desired course.
This is particularly true for students in their final year of high school, who usually wait until they have obtained their baccalaureate results before applying.

For 2024-2025, applications for CROUS bursaries must be made between 1 March and 31 May 2024 of the year of the entrance exam.

The award of a bursary entitles the holder to exemption from entrance exam application fees (subject to presentation of proof), PSPBB and university tuition fees and the CVEC.

Only SUMPPS health service fees are compulsory, even for students receiving financial support.

Please note: if you are a foreign national, you must meet certain conditions: see the CROUS website.

ASAAC (Dedicated annual culture benefit)

You need to put together an application and submit it to the CROUS social aid department at the start of the academic year.

To be eligible for the annual allowance, the student must have applied for a bursary based on social criteria and have received a rejection.
